Q TO Q FERRY SIGNAGE
CLIENT: City of New Westminster
LOCATION: New Westminster
SCOPE: Wayfinding and Signage Strategy
This bold and humble wayfinding system was designed as part of a temporary pilot project for the City of New Westminster. Lost & Found was engaged to develop a graphic identity for the new ferry route from downtown New West across the Fraser to Queensborough. Part of the work included assessing routes and locations for directional signage across the various barriers from the main street to the riverfront (lanes of traffic and rail lines). The work, which included temporary chalk painted markings on the boardwalk, was a big success and has been re-installed for the last two years as the City continues to explore the ferry route’s viability.

We created a variety of sign types with a consistent approach to brand and assessed views, sight lines and options for locating easily-printed and affordable sign interventions.
