CENTRE FOR CHILDHOOD STUDIES
CLIENT: Capilano University
LOCATION: North Vancouver, BC
SCOPE: Wayfinding, Donor Recognition
The Fulmer Family Centre for Childhood Studies integrates a 74-space daycare facility with the Department of Early Child Care and Education, fostering an immersive learning environment. Lost & Found Design collaborated with Capilano University and PUBLIC Architecture + Communication to develop a comprehensive signage and donor recognition strategy that enhances user experience while aligning with the building’s mission.
Our goal was to create an intuitive, welcoming system that reflects the University’s commitment to early childhood education and philanthropy.

Through child-friendly wayfinding, engaging donor recognition, and environmental graphics, we ensured that signage supports daily activities while celebrating the Centre’s vision and history.

Lost & Found Design developed an interactive donor recognition system that highlights key contributors while aligning with Capilano University’s fundraising goals.
The wayfinding strategy prioritizes accessibility and clarity for parents, educators, and visitors, incorporating playful and educational design elements that resonate with children.

Additionally, our team integrated thoughtful wayfinding and environmental graphics, contributing to a visually engaging and functional space that enhances the learning experience and strengthens the connection between the Centre and its community. The cohesive design fosters a welcoming atmosphere for children, staff, and visitors, while effectively conveying donor appreciation.
