NEW WEST QUEENS PARK WAYFINDING
Queen’s Park is one of New Westminster’s most cherished green spaces—a sprawling, forested destination featuring a vibrant mix of amenities including an arena, baseball diamonds, soccer fields, and multiple playgrounds. With so many activity zones and natural trails, a well-planned wayfinding system was essential to guide diverse user groups—families, athletes, and visitors—through the park with ease and clarity.
Building on our previous work in New Westminster’s park network, including Quayside Park, we developed a coordinated signage system that blends into its surroundings while supporting intuitive navigation.
The design reflects Queen’s Park’s strong sporting heritage, with subtle visual nods to local icons like the Salmonbellies lacrosse team. Colour, typography, and materials were chosen to echo existing design elements throughout the park, creating a cohesive and context-sensitive system. Fabricated by Innovative Signage, the signs balance durability with design integrity—reinforcing a unified civic identity.
