PUBLIC’s brand identity for the LIFE building expresses the broad spectrum of activities that are encompassed by living at UBC. Inclusivity was one of the major visual elements—incorporated intro the palette through the rainbow spectrum. New gender neutral washroom graphics were created which built the brand’s vertical linear elements typical male-female washroom iconography. A colouring wall, inspired by 1970s colouring kits provides a meditative and creative outlet for people lounging near the Starbucks during class or study breaks.
